~HoMeSchOoLiNg~

Have you ever heard homeschooling before this?Homeschooling is also known as home education that have been practice by most of american people. It is now become a public education for the students in america. Homeschooling in America, which emerged as early as the 1600s, has recently become an increasingly popular alternative to public education. During the 2002-2003 school year, a whopping 1.7-2.1 million students were homeschooled in the US! The roots of homeschooling in America go back centuries: home education in this country began with the 17th-century Pilgrims and Puritans, both of whom believed that educating children was the responsibility of the parent, whether personally or through a tutor or governess. Education at the time was largely led by the predominant Christian faith: by schooling at home, parents could monitor their children's learning, and tailor it to their belief systems. In the mid-1800s, however, public education came into play, and though homeschooling has existed since, throughout the19th and earlier 20th centuries it was definitely not the most prevalent of education options. Recently, however, homeschooling has become increasingly popular: it is estimated that, currently, the number of homeschooler and the number of charter-school students are equal.
However this education practices have counter some argument due its pros and cons ..

Below are some examples of the advantages of homeschooling..

1. Low Teacher-to-Student Ratio - With anywhere from 15 to 35 students in a class, teachers in a traditional classroom have limited time to give students one-on-one attention. When students are homeschooled, they have a greater chance of getting the individualized attention they need. Teachers can focus on one student at a time.
2. Instant Feedback - When students participate in a homeschooling program, they can get immediate feedback regarding their assignments, quizzes and exams. Likewise, they can let their teachers know if they do not understand a concept or need extra help. There is two-way communication.
3. Customized Curriculum - Homeschooling allows students to get an education that is tailored to their needs. For those students requiring extra help or needing additional challenges, they can participate in a homeschool curriculum that focuses on specific areas. A customized curriculum also enables them to set their own pace. They can navigate a lesson as slow or quick as they choose.
4. Less Distractions Homeschooling programs enable students to solely focus on the task at hand. They can pay 100% attention to their studies, without any worries, social distractions or pressures of a regular school setting. When students learn at home, they can also schedule their classes to suit their schedule.
5. Time ManagementAt home, students can sit down and get right to work. There is no wait time before they can read a lesson or start an exercise. They are no longer bound by a school schedule as a teacher performs role call, attends to another student or handles a discipline problem.
6. More Flexibility - Learning in a home environment enables students to have greater flexibility than in a traditional classroom. They can set their own schedule. If they want to study or take their tests at night, they have the freedom to do so. Families can take a vacation in the middle of the week, or use their kitchen for a chemistry lesson. The possibilities are endless!
Homeschooling provides people with an option to traditional educational methods. Whether students are homeschooled by their parents or take homeschooling online, they can be in charge of their education and make decisions about what is best for them. They have the freedom to create an education that is customized to their needs. It provides them with choices.

Whereas for the disadvantages of homeschooling are..

  1. Not Enough Time. Because home schooling your kids is really a full time job, you just may not have enough time in the day to do what you need to get done. You have to full research topics and prepare lessons, set up projects and field trips. You will have to spend time keeping yourself organized, and on top of all that, you have to teach.
  2. No Time for Work. Because home schooling takes up a lot of time in preparation and delivery, you may run out of time for house hold duties and chores.
  3. Personal Space. When home schooling your kids, you will have to give a lot of yourself away. You will pretty much loose your personal, quiet time. So, if you opt to home school your kids, make sure to schedule in time each day for yourself.
  4. A Lot of Pressure. Because everyone has their own unique style to home schooling, you may end up finding yourself comparing your techniques with those of other parents. This can put a lot of pressure on you .
  5. They Just Don't Listen. Parents who do not have regular control over their kids, may feel overwhelmed with the decision to home school. In these situations, you will just run yourself ragged running after the kids, preparing lessons, cleaning the house, and maybe even running that home business. Make sure that you have control over your children's behaviors before you decide to home school.

As i learnt from my mock interview the resume' includes  a little bit our background information such as full name, address,,education background, working experience, our achievement in any aspect and our motto of life. Resume' is very important for the interviewer to look  a thorough detail our background information rather than to flip out one by one our cert. That's why don't forget to include your own resume,it's very important!Another thing make sure you have a good general knowledge of current issues because the interviewer can come with any question that we can't expected.

Do you know what is human trafficking? Human Trafficking is a crime against humanity. It involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harbouring or receiving a person through a use of force, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Every country in the world is affected by trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims.
The purpose of human trafficking is to exploit the prostitution of others, sexual exploitation, forced labor, slavery or similar practices and the removal of organs.

Men, women and children are all being trafficked. However, the most vulnerable groups, those with limited rights or protections, have been the hardest hit. Disproportionately, trafficking affects poor women, children and members of disadvantaged minority groups.
It's impossible to deny the suffering of the victims of trafficking. What may be harder to understand are the forces that create and sustain this global problem. These forces — and the array of initiatives necessary to combat them — are far more complex. Trafficking does not exist in isolation. It is connected to economic, political and social forces that increase the vulnerability and desperation of the poor, refugees and migrants, and women and children. Trafficking is one of the most horrific end results of economic and social disparities that increase the vulnerability of millions of people. Such vast inequality allows many within our societies to be considered little more than disposable commodities.
From my own view human trafficking is something illegal case that cannot be denied anymore. They try to exploit a weak person who doesn't know anything. As such it occurs to my citizen who go to abroad and just want to bring a luggage for his boyfriend without knowing anything what's inside the bag.All of sudden she has been caught by the immigration officer in Japan and be accused involving in drugs smuggling. Until now her case still under progress, and only court can judge for it. Our lawyer from Malaysia also try to fight for her cases. Human trafficking can be happened in many ways, and we have to fight for it and stop human trafficking. In order to stop human trafficking each country especially government have to take stern action for this problem.
