In traditional surgical procedures, surgeons need to make large incisions in a patient's body in order to work on the affected internal organ. However robotic surgery has changed all that . Today robotic equipment is used for certain types of surgeries. It may be hard to believe but it is true.
Go to fullsize image At one time , it was common to see heart surgeons involved in highly complex and special procedures. To reach the heart ,they have to make long incisions in the patient's chest area. Subsequently, they have to split the breastbone in order to get to the heart. These traditional procedures cause great trauma for the patients. They need to recover from the surgical treatments, the split bone and the wound created by the incision. Furthermore these invasive procedure leaves the patients prone to infection. As a result of the long cut in the skin , the patient is exposed to infection by bacteria . Besides the recovery period is often lengthy.
In recent years, a new surgical technique known as the keyhole surgery has come into prominence. This technique requires into a couple of small incisions, each measuring about one centimetre to be made around the area to be operated on. Long instruments  are inserted through these tiny incisions into the patient's body. At the end of these instruments are attached small tools that are similar to standard surgical equipment. Then an endoscope or a tiny camera is inserted through one of the incisions. This camera sends an image of what is going on inside the patient's body onto a large computer monitor. This enables the doctors to see what is happening and where to place or apply the surgical tools. The problem with the keyhole surgery is that it is counter intuitive . When a surgeon wants to move or shift the surgical tool to the right, the surgeon has to push it to the left and vice-versa.
A new robotic apparatus, the da Vinci Surgical System has been tested in hospitals in the United States . It requires the surgeons to make three small incisions in the body. Two of the slits are for the insertion of surgical tools. The third incision is for the endoscope . The robot's moving parts are built to mimic the natural hand and wrists movements of a surgeon. This provides stability ,better control and sensitivity. The surgeon can perform the operation sitting at a console a few feet away from the patient.. The surgeon does this by holding and moving sensitive pads that enable the surgeon to manipulate the instruments. The area of the body being operated on is magnified on a screen attached to the console. The surgeon gets a realistic three-dimensional view of the area , as seen in traditional  operation. The smaller incisions means less physical trauma to the body, and the patients will recover in a shorter time. In certain cases , the patient's duration of stay in the hospital had been reduced in half.
The only drawback is that some operations have taken fifty minutes longer due to the lack of experience of surgeons at using the new technology. When the surgeons become familiar with the machines and techniques ,the time required for surgical procedure will likely be reduced.

Do you love to hear a song from any singer such as britney,,ana rafali kew,,yuna..or any singer???..When we hear any music or song,it's actually can give a soothing calm in our mind.Did you believe it??It is known as music therapy..This is because research has shown that music has a profound effect on your body and psyche. In fact, there's a growing field of health care known as music therapy, which uses music to heal. Those who practice music therapy are finding benefits in using music to help with pain management,to help ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients, to ease muscle tension, and for many other benefits. This is not surprising as music affects the body and mind in many powerful ways

For me music therapy is just like aroma therapyhttp://www.emocutez.com..that's mean we try to make our soul and mind out of stress. But we should choose the right music such as evergreen,,not indie or rock.hehe..Last but not least i will share with you this music that will make you feel really calm

Do you think your armpit is smelly???of course you will apply deodorant onto your armpit..for sure;ppp..for what??to prevent odourless lah..hehe..Have you ever read its label, containing what type of chemical. Have you ever wonder deodorant can give seat back to your health....Actually deodorant and anti perspirant is different type of cosmetic,,both are functioning applying under the armpit..but in terms of chemical use ,,both contain different ingredients. As such anti perspirant contains aluminium which can block the sweat glands and generally results in reduction, but not total elimination of sweating.Whereas most deodorants contain parabens which can neutralize the smell of the sweat against the bacteria. The bad thing is anti perspirant can trigger alzhemeir illnesses as the sweat pore is block and deodorant is seem to play an important part into triggering breast cancer. Even though there is no logic evidence yet due to some arguments but some research has shown that both chemical can trigger the diseases to human. It may occur for the long term effects. Therefore, it is suggested for most people to change or use natural body crystal deodorant. It does contain free chemical substance and guarantee for our health. In fact it can last longer for the whole day than anti perspirant and other deodorants. So as a consumer you have to choose the right stuff especially related to your health cosmetic=)

~EdUcAtOr vs UlaMa~

i really like this story made from a grandpa..

to all Bestari Teachers to be, here's something from Grandpa:

Teach My Grandson Teacher - Gently, If You Can
My grandson starts school today. It's going to be strange and new to him for a while, and I wish you would sort of treat him gently.
You see, up to now, he's been king of the roost -- he's been boss of the backyard. His mom, dad, and Grandma have always been around to repair his wounds, and soothe his feelings.
But now things are going to be different! This morning he's going to walk down the front steps, wave his hand, and start out on a great adventure... it's an adventure that might take him across the continent... it's an adventure that might incllude wars and strategy and sorrow.
To live his live in this world, will require faith and love and courage. So teacher, I pray you will take him by his young hand and teach him the things he will have to know.
Teach my grandson teacher -- but gently, if you can. He will have to learn, I know, that all men are not just, that all men are not true.
But teach him also, that for every scounderel, there is a hero.. that for every crooked politician, there is a dedicated leader. Teach him that for every enemy, there is a friend.
It will take time teacher, I know, but teach my grandson, if you can, that a nickel earned is far more value than a dollar found... teach him to learn to lose... and to enjoy winning.
Steer him away from envy, if you can, and teach him the secret of quiet laughter.
Let my grandson learn early that the bullies are the easiest people to lick.. teach him, if you can, the wonder of books... but also give him quiet time to ponder the eternal mystery of birds in the sky, bees in the sun, and flowers on a green hill.
In school, teacher, teach him it is far more honorable to fail than to cheat... teach him to have faith in his own ideas, even if everyone tells him that he is wrong... teach him to be gentle with gentle people and tough with tough people.
Try to give my grandson strength not to follow the crowd when everyone else is getting on the bandwagon... teach him to listen to all men... but, teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth and take only the good that comes through.
Teach my grandson teacher.. but gently if you can, how to laugh when he is sad... teach him there is no shame in tears... teach him there can be glory in failure and despair in success.
Teach him to close his ears to a howling mob... and to stand and fight if he thinks he is right.
Teach him to scoff at cynics and to beware of too much sweetness.. teach him to sell his brawn and brains to the highest bidders but, never, never, put a price tag on his heart and soul.
Treat my grandson gently, teacher, but don't coddle him, because only the test of fire makes fine steel.. let him have the courage to be impatient... let him have the patience to be brave.
Teach him always to have sublime faith in himself. Because then he will have sublime faith in God and Mankind.
This is a tall order, teacher, but please help him if you can do. You see, he's such a nice little fellow... my grandson.
Teach my grandson, teacher.. but gently if you can.

I've learned this subject last sem,, and i got A for this subject,,not really hard and tough, but quite okay..i really like this subject because i've to practice in my  life especially during entering lab,,every sem i've to do lab,,cannot escape anymore, so we must set in our mind lab safety is our first priority when entering lab chemistry,,if not you will be like this,,hehe..
Now, i want to make a list what should we do and shouldn't when entering the lab

  1. Safety goggles must be worn at all times while in the lab.
  2.  Contact lenses are not allowed. Even when worn under safety goggles various fumes may accumulate under the lens and cause serious injuries or blindness.
  3. Closed toe shoes and long pants must be worn in the lab. Sandals and shoes are not allowed
  4. Long hair must be tied back when using open flames.
  5. Lab coats should be worn at all times
  6. Eating, drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited in the lab
  7. No unauthorized experiments are to be performed, if you are curious about trying a procedure not covered in the experimental procedure, consult with your lab instructor.
  8. Never taste anything . Never directly smell the source of any vapour or gas instead by means of your cupped hand ,waft a small sample to your nose . Do not inhale these vapours but take in only enough to detect an odour if one exists.
  9. Bags should not be left on the lab benches and stools.
  10. Always wash your hands before leave the lab(hand sanitizer plissssss ;p)
  11. Know where the safety and first aid equipment is located. This isncludes fire extinguisher, eye with stations, shower and others.
  12. Notify the instructor immediately in case of accident.
actually there's a lot i want to make list of lab safety,,like how to hold test tube,,wear hand glove,,be well mannered during lab,,know the differences concentration of chemical,,how to read NFPA,,a lot of thingy ..hehe..as my lecturer said when we want to enter lab,,put aside all make up stuff,,foundation or eyeliner or whatsover,,heels ke,unless we are bisnes student or accountant,,then you can wear  a glam attire,, earrings,,necklace,,aiyaa..=p,,if u you are lab student," beautifu"l is not necessary,,haha,,the most important is our lab report is perfect,,walaweyh,,

To recapitulate,,follow the rules when entering the lab..remember it can become a hazardous place when we do not abide by the rules that have been prepared.;)
